Paver driveway rebuild

I have had two paver driveways redone to accommodate the growth of existing trees. Fidel and crew did beautiful work. They completely pulled up the pavers, reconfigured the level, and placed every paver back with great care. I can’t recommend this company enough for their great work.

We had Western Paver and Design redo our backyard, including a retaining wall and extending our patio to create more usable outdoor space and it turned out absolutely perfect! It’s been two years since the project was completed, and everything still looks exactly like the day it was finished. Western Paver Design recently installed a paver patio and louvered pergola for me and I am beyond pleased with the results! They exceeded my expectations in the quality of their work, their diligence and attention to detail, and the care they took with my property and that of my next-door neighbors throughout the installation. Austin did a great job as project manager in putting together a concise and detailed bid with schematics so that I was able to easily get the necessary HOA approvals. Wonderful experience working with Western Paver Design! Austin was very helpful with the entire process from quote through final walk through until we checked all the boxes. German and his team were hardworking, friendly, and skilled. German’s craftsmanship and design aesthetic really shined with a custom latching gate under the deck, framed lattice panels, and the picture framing on the deck. Love the permeable pavers to help with my drainage issues and all the quality materials and construction. This is a major upgrade to my house and I’m pleased with the investment. Artificial turf

We are so happy with are new artificial turf lawn. We always had problems with keeping our lawn green over the years as the sun hits it all day long. Joe suggested artificial turf, explained the process, and showed us a sample of the product. His crew showed up on time, and worked really hard at making sure we were happy with everything. Dan, the project manager, was extremely helpful, and checked up on the progress each day, and when it was finished. Herringbone paver driveway

Our neighbors redid their driveway recently, and it was so beautiful we asked them who they used. It was Western Paver Design. So we gave them a call and Dan Mackenzie along with Roger and his team came out to our place, demoed our driveway and walkway, and installed a beautiful paver herringbone design. 80 ft retaining wall

Western Paver Design just replaced roughly 80 feet of retaining wall. They did an excellent job. They actually over built it. It’s twice as sturdy/stable as the prior one and I’m pretty sure that it could even withstand an earthquake. The finish design is very nice and they clean everything up and are extremely respectful of the property.

Asphalt Sealing FAQs

How often should asphalt be sealed?

On a recurring interval rather than once — the right gap depends on traffic, sun exposure, drainage and how the last coat has held up. Over-sealing is a real thing too, so we'd rather look at the surface than quote you a blanket number.

What does sealing actually do for asphalt?

It puts a protective layer over the asphalt binder, slowing the oxidation and water intrusion that turn small cracks into base failure. It's preventive maintenance: sealing protects a sound surface and restores its dark finish, but it won't rescue pavement that's already breaking up.

How long does sealcoat need to dry?

It needs to cure before foot or vehicle traffic, and the time shifts with temperature, humidity and shade. We'll tell you how long to stay off it for your job and your weather rather than quote a number that won't hold, and we schedule sealing around dry forecasts.

Should cracks be filled before sealcoating?

Yes. Sealcoat is a thin protective coat, not a crack filler, so open cracks should be cleaned out and filled with a crack sealant first, or water keeps reaching the base underneath. Potholes, wide cracks and sunken spots are repairs that sealing alone won't fix.

Is it too late in the year to seal my driveway?

It depends on the month. Sealing season here generally runs from late spring through early fall, when pavement is dry and temperatures are mild. Once the fall rains settle in, a fresh coat may not cure before it's rained on, so waiting for spring usually beats rushing it.

How do I get ready for driveway sealcoating?

Move vehicles out before we arrive, including any in the garage, and plan to park elsewhere until it cures. Turn off sprinklers that reach the pavement, clear bins and planters off the edges, keep pets inside, and let anyone who shares the driveway know the schedule.

Will sealcoating cover oil stains on my driveway?

Not on its own. Oil softens asphalt and keeps sealer from bonding, so stains need to be cleaned and treated with an oil-spot primer before the coat goes on. Old, deep stains can still show faintly afterward. Wipe up fresh drips quickly to protect the new surface.

Does sealcoating make a driveway slippery?

A fresh coat can be slicker than bare asphalt when wet, which matters in our climate. Fine sand is commonly blended into the sealer for grip, and thin, even coats stay less slick than a thick, over-sealed buildup. Steep or shaded driveways deserve extra attention to traction.
