Paver driveway rebuild

I have had two paver driveways redone to accommodate the growth of existing trees. Fidel and crew did beautiful work. They completely pulled up the pavers, reconfigured the level, and placed every paver back with great care. I can’t recommend this company enough for their great work.

Wonderful experience working with Western Paver Design! Austin was very helpful with the entire process from quote through final walk through until we checked all the boxes. German and his team were hardworking, friendly, and skilled. German’s craftsmanship and design aesthetic really shined with a custom latching gate under the deck, framed lattice panels, and the picture framing on the deck. Love the permeable pavers to help with my drainage issues and all the quality materials and construction. This is a major upgrade to my house and I’m pleased with the investment. Herringbone paver driveway

Our neighbors redid their driveway recently, and it was so beautiful we asked them who they used. It was Western Paver Design. 80 ft retaining wall

Western Paver Design just replaced roughly 80 feet of retaining wall. They did an excellent job. They actually over built it. It’s twice as sturdy/stable as the prior one and I’m pretty sure that it could even withstand an earthquake. The finish design is very nice and they clean everything up and are extremely respectful of the property.

Artificial Turf FAQs

How long does artificial turf last?

Quality turf lasts many years with very little done to it. Lifespan tracks the product grade, how much traffic it takes, and — importantly — whether the base under it was built and compacted properly. The base is where cheap installs fail.

Does artificial turf drain in heavy rain?

It has to, and in our climate that's the whole ballgame. Turf is perforated and sits on a compacted permeable base that moves water through and away. Done right it drains faster than the lawn it replaced; done wrong it holds water and smells.

Is artificial turf safe for pets?

Yes, and it's a common reason people install it — no mud, no dead patches, no wear paths. Pet installations use a base and infill chosen for drainage and rinsing, so it's worth saying up front that dogs will be using it.

Can artificial turf go over an existing lawn?

Not if you want it to last. Grass and roots decompose under turf, leaving soft spots and dips, and topsoil doesn't drain the way turf needs. We remove the existing lawn and soil, then build a compacted, permeable base so the finished surface stays even and drains.

Do you have turf samples I can see first?

Yes. We have commercial-grade turf samples, so you can compare color, pile height and softness side by side, including pet-friendly options if dogs will use the yard. Ask about samples when you book your free on-site design consultation, which is followed by a detailed written proposal.

Do weeds or moss grow through artificial turf?

Rarely through it. A compacted base, often with a weed barrier, stops most growth from below, though wind-blown seeds can sprout in the infill and pull out easily. In damp shade, moss can form on top where leaves and debris collect, so keep those areas cleared and brushed.

Can artificial turf be installed in winter?

Often, yes, between storms. Excavation and compaction need soil that isn't saturated, and seams bond better in dry weather, so heavy rain or a hard freeze can push the start date. Once underway, many residential installs take a few days to about a week.

Can damaged artificial turf be repaired?

Usually. A burned, torn or dug-up area can be cut out and a matching piece seamed in, with infill brushed back over the patch. Remnants from the original roll match better, since turf color shifts slightly with sun exposure, so it's worth keeping leftover pieces.
