Wonderful experience working with Western Paver Design! Austin was very helpful with the entire process from quote through final walk through until we checked all the boxes. German and his team were hardworking, friendly, and skilled. 80 ft retaining wall

Western Paver Design just replaced roughly 80 feet of retaining wall. They did an excellent job. They actually over built it. It’s twice as sturdy/stable as the prior one and I’m pretty sure that it could even withstand an earthquake. The finish design is very nice and they clean everything up and are extremely respectful of the property.

How thick does the base need to be for a paver driveway?

Deeper than for a patio — a driveway carries vehicle loads, so the excavation and compacted aggregate base are built accordingly, then compacted in lifts. Base depth is the single biggest factor in whether a driveway ruts or stays flat.

What paver pattern is best for a driveway?

Herringbone. Its interlocking geometry spreads vehicle load across many pavers instead of concentrating it, which is why it's the standard for vehicular paving. We usually frame it with a soldier-course border, and can add accent colors or banding to complement your home.

Can a paver driveway be repaired if it's damaged?

Yes, and that's a real advantage of pavers. Damaged or stained units are lifted out, replaced and re-sanded, so the repair is invisible and costs a fraction of patching or replacing a concrete slab. Utility trenches work the same way: lift, dig, reset.

Does a paver driveway in Lake Oswego come with a warranty?
