Paver driveway rebuild

I have had two paver driveways redone to accommodate the growth of existing trees. Fidel and crew did beautiful work. They completely pulled up the pavers, reconfigured the level, and placed every paver back with great care. I can’t recommend this company enough for their great work.

We had Western Paver and Design redo our backyard, including a retaining wall and extending our patio to create more usable outdoor space and it turned out absolutely perfect! It’s been two years since the project was completed, and everything still looks exactly like the day it was finished. We recently worked with Western Paver Design to build a new retaining wall and fence in our backyard, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Wonderful experience working with Western Paver Design! Austin was very helpful with the entire process from quote through final walk through until we checked all the boxes. German and his team were hardworking, friendly, and skilled. German’s craftsmanship and design aesthetic really shined with a custom latching gate under the deck, framed lattice panels, and the picture framing on the deck. Love the permeable pavers to help with my drainage issues and all the quality materials and construction. This is a major upgrade to my house and I’m pleased with the investment. Artificial turf

We are so happy with are new artificial turf lawn. We always had problems with keeping our lawn green over the years as the sun hits it all day long. Joe suggested artificial turf, explained the process, and showed us a sample of the product. His crew showed up on time, and worked really hard at making sure we were happy with everything. Herringbone paver driveway

Our neighbors redid their driveway recently, and it was so beautiful we asked them who they used. It was Western Paver Design. So we gave them a call and Dan Mackenzie along with Roger and his team came out to our place, demoed our driveway and walkway, and installed a beautiful paver herringbone design. 80 ft retaining wall

Western Paver Design just replaced roughly 80 feet of retaining wall. They did an excellent job. They actually over built it. It’s twice as sturdy/stable as the prior one and I’m pretty sure that it could even withstand an earthquake. The finish design is very nice and they clean everything up and are extremely respectful of the property.

Custom Railings, Stairs and Deck Resurfacing

We install railing in wood, iron and aluminum from Trex, Fortress, RDI, TimberTech and others, along with stairs built to match the deck. A black metal railing keeps a view open, while a white or wood railing can tie the deck to your house.

If your deck's framing is in good condition and was originally built with pressure-treated lumber, it may not need replacing. In many cases we can resurface it with composite boards and new railing. Our estimators will evaluate your deck for the best possible outcome.

Trex and Composite Deck FAQs

What is a TrexPRO contractor?

TrexPRO is Trex's program for approved deck installers. Trex has evaluated Western Paver Design's workmanship and installation practices and approved us as an authorized Trex deck installer, so your deck is built by a crew that knows the product and follows its installation requirements.

Is composite decking better than cedar?

It depends on what you want. Composite costs more up front but doesn't need staining or sealing, and it resists rot and splinters. Cedar has a natural look and a lower starting price, but needs regular upkeep in our climate. We build both and can price each for your deck.

Can composite boards go on my existing deck frame?

Often, yes. If the framing is in good condition and was built with pressure-treated lumber, it may not need replacing. We check the joists, posts, ledger and spacing first, because composite boards have their own span requirements, and we'll tell you if any repairs come first.

Does composite decking need maintenance?

Less than wood, but it isn't zero. There's no staining or sealing. In our wet climate, sweep off leaves and needles and wash the deck with soap and water once or twice a year, especially in shaded spots where mildew can settle on the surface.

What warranty comes with a composite deck?

Decks and railing installation carry a 1-year warranty on our workmanship. The decking itself carries the manufacturer's own warranty, which varies by product line, and we'll go over the terms for the product you choose before you decide.

Do you build deck stairs and railings too?

Yes. We build stairs to match the deck and install custom wood railings as well as iron and aluminum railing systems from Trex, Fortress, RDI, TimberTech and others. Your estimate covers the full deck, so you see the stairs and railing priced with everything else.
